HLSA-DC is pleased to offer an Ethics Panel for Government Attorneys on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the D.C. office of Ropes & Gray (2099 Pennsylvania, N.W., Washington, D.C.). The panel discussion will address ethics reforms in Congress’s H.R.1 (“For the People Act of 2019”); key issues in ethics investigations throughout the Department of Defense and the Inspector General community; and the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct that especially impact government attorneys.
 

Our alumni panelists include Dan Weiner, Deputy Director of the Brennan Center’s Election Reform Program; Glenn Fine, Acting Inspector General of the Department of Defense (and the former Inspector General for the Department of Justice, 2000-2011); and Myles Lynk, former D.C. Bar President and Senior Assistant Disciplinary Counsel with the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Please refer to the link below for written materials provided by our speakers. Marie Park, Assistant Executive Attorney with the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility, will moderate the panel.  
 

Pre-registration is required for this event; no walk-ins will be permitted. Networking, with appetizers and drinks, will take place from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The panel discussion will start promptly at 6:15 and end at 8 p.m.
 

We are in the process of requesting MCLE credit for this event. Please note that attendance will be capped at 50.
